The bench of Justice Md Mozibur Rahman Miah and Justice Mohi Uddin Shamim asked the BTRC Chairman to keep a copy on CD or pen drive before removing the footage.
It also ordered Noakhali’s police chief to ensure security of the victim and her family.
Besides, the court also formed a committee to look into the negligence of police over the incident. The committee, headed by Noakhali additional deputy commissioner, was asked to submit the report to the registrar of the High Court within 15 working days.
The officer-in-charge of Begumganj Police Station has been asked to submit an updated report of the case within Oct 28.
The HC also issued a rule asking the government to explain why directives should not be given to take legal and departmental steps against the OC and other police officials concerned for their negligence in taking immediate steps against the accused or miscreants.
Secretary to the Home Ministry, Noakhali deputy commissioner, Begumganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer and others related to the case have been made respondents to the rule which is returnable in two weeks.
Lawyers ZI Khan Panna and Abdullah Al Mamun drew the attention of the court in the morning after attaching the report published in newspaper.
Later, the High Court asked to submit a written petition before 2pm.
A housewife in Noakhali's Begumganj was molested by some local miscreants last month but the incident came to light after a video of the barbaric assault went viral on the internet.
The miscreants tortured the housewife after undressing her and recorded the incident.
The victim filed two cases on Sunday accusing nine people, 33 days after the incident.
One case was filed under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act and another under the Pornography Control Act.
The Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested two more accused from Dhaka and Narayanganj in connection with the incident. The arrestees are Delwar Hossain, 26, chief of local ‘Delwar Bahini’ and Md Nur Hossain alias Badal, 20, key accused in the cases, said a Rab press release.
