The deceased was identified as Mim Aktar, 19, a garment worker of Ashulia industrial area.
Victim’s mother said divorcee Mim was returning to her mother in Bogura on Thursday night.
She boarded a Bogura bound bus at 6 pm and contacted her mother using the phone of bus supervisor.

Her phone was snatched away by her husband who left her over a family feud caused by her urge to work for helping her mother financially.
Later, at night Mim went missing and never returned home.
The bus supervisor told victim’s mother that she had taken a rickshaw from Banani intersection at 12 am.
Additional Superintendent of Police Sanatan Chakrabarty said Mim’s body was found in a field in Gandagram village in the morning. Later her mother identified the body.
Police suspect that the victim was raped before murder, ASP said.
