The bench of Justice Nazrul Islam Talukdar and Justice Shmed Sohel passed the order.
Asif Hossain, Managing Director of Majid Construction Limited, also secured bail from the Appellate Division in another graft case on November 8.
An Appellate Division bench led by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain passed the order after hearing an appeal filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) seeking cancelation of bail order for the contractor.
The HC granted bail to Asif Hossain while ACC filed an appeal challenging the bail order on Oct 21.
Advocate Aminul Islam stood for the contractor, Advocate Khurshid Alam represented the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and Deputy Attorney General AKM Amin Uddin Manik moved for the state.
ACC filed the four separate cases on December 12 last year over the corruption. Asif has been in jail since then.
According to the case statement, Asif amassed around Tk 7.48 crore from the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant project.
Reports published in different newspapers said excess money was spent on buying furniture, pillows and other items for the Green City Housing Palli development, where officials and employees of Rooppur Power Plant will reside.
A pillow's price was shown at around Tk 5,957 while there was a Tk 3000 charge for lifting a kettle to the apartments.
