The aspirants were asked to collect and submit the forms from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi Political Office from 11am to 5pm on December 20-24, said an AL release.
The aspirants also asked to follow the health protection rules and not to make crowd during the collection and submission of the applications to get its party’s nomination in their respective municipality.
In the municipal election, political parties can field their candidates only for the mayoral posts not council posts.

The hopefuls will have to bring the photocopy of their respective national identity cards to collect the nomination forms.
The Election Commission on December 14 (Monday last) announced the schedule for the third phase municipal election.

According to the schedule, the deadline for the submission of nomination papers is December 31, while the date for scrutiny of nomination papers is January 3 and the last date for the withdrawal of candidature is January 10.
The Election Commission earlier announced the schedules for the first and second phases of the municipality elections to 25 municipalities on December 28 and 61 municipalities on January 16.
