Five months after the formation of a partial committee, the BNP has approved a 61-member convening committee for the party’s Dhaka South City unit.
Rafiqul Alam Mojnu has been appointed as the convener of the Dhaka South City unit, while Tanvir Ahmed Robin has been named the member secretary, said a party press release on Sunday.
The 61-member convening committee comprises 13 joint convenors and 46 members, in addition to the convener and member secretary.

Earlier, on July 7, the BNP formed convening committees for its Dhaka South, North, Chattogram, and Barisal city units, setting a three-month deadline for the formation of full committees for each unit.
Mojnu and Tanvir earlier served as member secretary and joint convener respectively, of the BNP’s Dhaka South City unit.
