Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Wednesday criticised BNP, saying the party's policy is to keep itself at a safe distance during any crisis.
“After failing to carry out any movement, the BNP leaders are always trying to take advantage of the situation and their Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul is trying to confuse the people,” he said at an online briefing on current issues from his residence.
The Road, Transport and Bridges Minister urged everyone to have patience and strictly maintain social distancing to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Bangladesh on Wednesday recorded 1,541 new coronavirus cases, taking the total number to 38,292. During this period, 22 more people died from coronavirus, raising the death tally to 544.
