Bangladesh Women's Football team finished fourth and last in the four-team Group D of the 19th Asian Games Women's Football after a 1-1 draw with Nepal at the Wenzhou Olympic Centre Stadium in Hangzhou on Thursday afternoon.
In the day's prestige battle, Bangladesh dominated the first half of the match with a solitary goal scored by captain Sabina Khatun in the 44th minute (1-0).

Rekha Poudel restored parity for Nepal in the 83rd minute with the frustration of Bangladesh (1-1).
After the day's last group match, both Nepal and Bangladesh secured one point each by playing all three group matches, but Nepal finished third by virtue of a better goal difference, forcing Bangladesh to the fourth slot.

Earlier, in their first appearance in the continental meet, Bangladesh women conceded a humiliating 0-8 goal defeat against former world champions Japan last Friday and a 1-6 goal defeat against World Cup-playing Vietnam on Monday.
But Nepal conceded a 0-2 goal defeat against Vietnam and a 0-8 goal defeat against Japan in their group encounters to settle for third place.

Bangladesh women's football team clinched the first-ever SAFF Women's Football title, beating Nepal on their home soil in Kathmandu in September last year.
