Bangladesh women's football team, which emerged as the new champions in the seven-nation SAFF Women's Championship with an all-win record, will be given a grand reception on arrival at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka from Kathmandu Wednesday afternoon.
The Tigresses earned the dream SAFF Women's title for the first time beating five times runners up and hosts Nepal 3-1 in the final in Kathmandu Monday evening.
The Bangladesh women's team won their maiden SAFF crown breaking the domination of India, which had won all five of the previous regional meets. The team will leave Kathmandu Wednesday noon and is expected to reach Dhaka at 1.50 pm.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell MP will receive the country's heroines on behalf of the millions of soccer crazy fans.
Members of the women's team will also address the press shortly at the airport.
After completion of necessary formalities, the team will board a newly shaped and well decorated open deck BRTC bus for the BFF Office in Motijheel from airport, passing through, Mohakhali flyover, Jahangir gate, PM Office, Bijoy Saroni, Tejgaon CA, Mouchak, Kakrail, Fakirerpool and Shapla Chattor.
