Design and Hardware
The A13's design is not significantly refined. But, the thick bezels at the front come with a 6.5-inch display, along with a teardrop notch and extra-large chin. It has a 720 LCD panel, and for a budget phone like A13, it is okay, but the colors are not very vibrant.

There doesn't appear to be a synthesizer protector coating applied, which may result in a fingerprint that is not easy to wipe off. This black plastic case with an eggshell finish is curved at the corners and has flashlights and three cameras in the top left corner. A Samsung logo is placed near the bottom.
You will not have an option to choose from different colors as the phone comes in black color only.
There's a volume rocker with a satisfyingly quick fingerprint sensor located to the right of the volume buttons. An SD card and SIM card wallet are located on the left. Towards the bottom, there is a USB-C port, a downwards-firing speaker, and a 3.5-millimeter port headphone jack.

That single speaker is the A13's sole one, and it does not sound excellent. However, it gets loud enough, but it doesn't produce much bass and is harsh.
All told, A13 isn't an especially well-built piece if you want to feel the top-notch quality. But it is a budget 5G phone, so the hardware you are getting is good enough for the budget-friendly phones. It's flimsy, their heads flex, and the quality of the display is unimpressive. But that is tempered by the fact it is less expensive than expected.
Display
Samsung Galaxy A13 5G comes with a PLS TFT display which has a 90Hz refresh rate. With an 81.1% screen-to-body ratio, A13 5G has a 720 x 1600 pixel resolution, which maintains a 20:9 ratio. So, these features can give you a good user experience.

Software and performance
The phone comes with One UI 3.1 over Android 11. Hence, do not expect many surprises. However, it has the usual features found on most modern Samsung phones, including optional edge panels that add additional shortcuts and the ability to place apps in little windows for multitasking.
The best part of this phone’s software is that Samsung is offering four years of a security patch for the A13. It is refreshing to see such a low-cost phone receiving such great after-sales service.
