A fire broke out at a building in the city’s Lalbagh area early on Thursday morning, officials said.
According to Fire Service and Civil Defence, the fire broke out on the fourth floor of the six-story building adjacent to Tajmahal Tower around 6am.

On information, five firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control in an hour.
Fortunately, there were no casualties. "A probe is on to ascertain the exact cause of the fire," an official said.
