Gas supply will remain suspended for 6 hours in different areas in the northern part of the capital on Sunday. Gas supply will remain off for all kinds of consumers from 8 am to 2 pm (six hours) in the adjacent areas from Kamarpara Bridge to Balaka Bhaban on Sunday for the relocation of existing gas pipelines to facilitate the construction works of the MRT Line-1 under Dhaka Mass Transport Company Limited, said Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution PLC. Gas supply will remain suspended for 8 hours — from 2 pm to 10 pm — today (March 22, 2023) for all consumers in several Dhaka areas due to emergency work of pipelines. The areas include Minto Road, Eskaton, Pirbagh, Habibullah Road, Karwan Bazar, Old Elephant Road and areas adjacent to PG Hospital, Paribagh BPDB quarters, Birdem Hospital, Dhaka Club, Holy Family Hospital, Dhaka University and Buet, Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited said. Regretting for the temporary inconveniences, Titas Gas authorities said the consumers in adjacent areas may experience low pressure in gas supply. Gas supply will remain suspended for 24 hours from 9 am on Friday in different areas of Gazipur and adjoining areas due to emergency works in gas pipelines. According to a press release of the Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited, the gas supply will remain off from 9 am on Friday to 9 am on Saturday in different areas from Dhanua TBS to Rejendrapur Intersection.
