Environment, Forests and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan on Tuesday said that Saudi oil giant Aramco has agreed to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Bangladesh at cheaper prices. Speaking to reporters at the Foreign Service Academy, the Adviser said the government has decided to import LNG from two countries to meet the country’s energy demands. Prof CR Abrar to take oath as adviser Rizwana also emphasised that there is no scope for “mob justice” or “moral policing” in the country, reaffirming that the interim government remains strict in preventing such incidents. She said the government does not support any form of violence against women. The press briefing was attended by Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam, Deputy Press Secretaries Apurba Jahangir and Abul Kalam Azad Majumder and Assistant Press Secretary Suchismita Tithi.

Saudi Arabian oil giant Aramco announced Sunday that its initial public offering raised a record $29.4 billion, a figure higher than previously announced, after the company used a so-called "greenshoe option" to sell millions more shares to meet investor demand.
