A helper of a bus was burned to death in a fire reportedly originating from a mosquito coil inside the vehicle at Sonadanga Bus Terminal of Khulna, said police on Friday. The fatal incident occurred around 2 am on Thursday, said Md Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sonadanga police station. The deceased Md Shariful was the helper of Sundarban Paribahan and a resident from Munshiganj district, the OC informed. Later, the bus caught fire from the coil and it got completely burnt to ashes, they said. Workers usually sleep inside the buses at night using mosquito coils and the incident of fire occurred several times, they informed.
