Kangana Ranaut to star in Hollywood
Kangana Ranaut to star in Hollywood horror drama ‘Blessed Be The Evil’ alongside Tyler Posey, Scarlett Rose Stallone
National Award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut is set to make her Hollywood debut in the upcoming horror drama Blessed Be The Evil, as reported by Variety. The film also stars Teen Wolf actor Tyler Posey and Scarlett Rose Stallone, daughter of Sylvester Stallone.
Ranaut will play the lead in the chilling narrative, which centers on a Christian couple grappling with the loss of a child due to miscarriage. They relocate to a remote, long-abandoned farm to rebuild their lives, only to be confronted by a sinister supernatural force that challenges both their faith and their relationship.
The film is being produced by Lions Movies and is slated to begin shooting this summer in New York. The production team opted for a U.S. location to avoid complications related to newly announced Trump-era tariffs affecting the film industry.

Directed by Anurag Rudra, known for Tailing Pond, Blessed Be The Evil is co-written by Rudra and Gatha Tiwary, the founder and president of Lions Movies.
Reflecting on his rural Indian upbringing, Rudra said, “I grew up hearing folklore that stayed with me forever. These stories were magical, and I always dreamt of sharing them with the world through cinema, a powerful bridge between imagination and reality.”
Producer Gatha Tiwary added, “This story offers a rare mix of suspense and drama, with a narrative designed to resonate with global audiences. It’s ideally suited for both streaming platforms and international theatrical distribution.”
Kangana Ranaut’s involvement brings notable star appeal. Alongside her multiple accolades—including four National Awards and four Filmfare Awards—she is also a filmmaker and currently serves as a Member of Parliament in India’s Lok Sabha. Her latest directorial, Emergency, where she portrayed Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, saw a global theatrical release earlier this year.
Co-star Tyler Posey has a background in horror with roles in projects like Truth or Dare, while Scarlett Rose Stallone has appeared in Reach Me and starred opposite Nicolas Cage in The Gunslingers.
