BCL final: Central Zone's Hasan Murad shines on Day 1
Walton Central Zone's Hasan Murad bagged four wickets for 70 runs against BCB South Zone at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on the opening day of the final of the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) Sunday.
Winning the toss, Central Zone asked South to bat first, who posted 261 runs for five wickets in 80 overs at stumps, riding on Anamul Haque Bijoy and Pinak Ghosh.

Anamul and Pinak put on a 137-run opening stand, hitting a fifty each. Hasan broke the partnership in the 52nd over.
After Pinak, the left-arm spinner also removed Anamul, Towhid Hridoy and Mahedi Hasan – all of whom had a good run of form in this season of the BCL.
At the end of day, South Zone's Zakir Hasan and captain Farhad Reza remained unbeaten on 44 and 46.

BCL: Central Zone and South Zone march to final
Walton Central Zone and BCB South Zone have made it to the final of the ongoing edition of the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL).
The third round match between these two teams ended in a draw which eventually confirmed the final berth for both of them.

In the third round match in Chattogram’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Central Zone batted first and posted 481 thanks to centuries of Soumya Sarkar and Shuvagata Hom.
In reply, South Zone scored 494 riding on the centuries of Amite Hasan, Towhid Hridoy, and Zakir Hasan.
Nazmul Islam Apu, and Mukidul Islam Mugdho scalped three wickets for the Central Zone.

In the final session of the match, Central Zone batted for 36 overs and scored 99 runs for wickets. Soumya scored 43 in this innings.
In the same round, North Zone beat Islami Bank East Zone by six wickets— which was the maiden win for North Zone in this edition of BCL.

Abu Hider, Naeem shine as BCL 2nd round starts
Abu Hider Rony bagged five-for for Walton Central Zone, and Naeem Islam hit a ton for BCB North Zone as the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) began on Sunday.
At Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Walton Central Zone wrapped up Islami Bank East Zone for 245 all wickets in their first innings, with Shahadat Hossain Dipu, hitting the highest of 72 for them.

For Walton, Abu Hider bagged 5 wickets conceding 93 runs. Hasan Murad scalped three while Robiul Haque took two.
In reply, Central Zone scored four in one over to end day one without any loss.
In the other match in Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, BCB North Zone batted first and ended day one at 246 for four with Naeem Islam scoring 126 off 297 balls, and he remained unbeaten. The other unbeaten batter is Mahidul Islam Ankon who scored 53.

Earlier, North Zone lost their openers only in seven runs, and within 24 runs, they lost their first three wickets.
In the first round of the event, Walton Central Zone beat BCB North Zone while BCB South Zone beat Islami Bank East Zone.

BCL: Central Zone eye a win as Soumya hits a ton
Walton Central Zone are eying a win in the first round of the ongoing Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) against BCB North Zone at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
Soumya Sarkar, the left-handed batter, hit an unbeaten 104 for Central Zone. And before him, Mohammad Mithun and Mizanur Rahman also smashed a century each.

With these centuries, Central Zone declared their first innings at 563 for three
At the end of day three on Tuesday, North Zone are trailing by 172 runs with five wickets in hand with Marshall Ayub and Mahidul Islam Ankon unbeaten on 28 and 0 respectively.
In the first innings of the match, North Zone scored 219 all out.
On the fourth and last day of the match, Central Zone need only five wickets to seal the game.
Hasan Murad, the left-arm spinner, bagged three wickets while Robiul Haque and Mrittunjoy Chowdhury scalped one wicket each.
In the other match of the first round of BCL, BCB South Zone took a commanding position at Shahid Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi.
At the end of day three, East Zone are leading only by 26 runs with five wickets in hand— they are batting at 195 for five.
East Zone need to bat as long as possible to avoid a defeat in this match.

In the first innings of this match, East Zone posted 260 all out, and in reply, South Zone posted 429 all out, and in their second innings, East Zone scored 195 for five so far with Afif Hossain Dhrubo remaining not-out for 73.
For South Zone, Nasum Ahmed and Mahedi Hasan bagged two wickets each while Nahidul Islam took one. In the first innings, both Nasum and Mahedi scalped five wickets each.
