Media Cup Football: Jugantor clinch title beating ATN Bangla 2-0 in final
Dainik Jugantor clinched the Kool- BSJA Media Cup Football title beating ATN Bangla by 2-0 goals in a rain-affected final at the Paltan Maidan here on Sunday .
Former national football team captain Imtiaz Sultan Jony, former BSJA president Manjurul Haque, BFF member Manjurul Karim, Brand Manager of Square Toiletries Abid Bin Shahid, BSJA President Arifur Rahman Babu and general secretary SM Sumon were present as the guests at the day' s prize distribution ceremony .
In the day's title decided match, Saddam Hossain Imran put the Daily Jugantor ahead in the first half (1-0) while captain Jotirmoy Mondal scored the 2nd goal in the 2nd half enabling Jugantor to win another title after long time (2-0).
Later, Saddam Hossain Imran was adjudged the best player of the match.
BSJA Media Cup Football: Semis and final on Sunday
Dainik Jugantor's guest player Mazharul Islam Mithun named as the best player of the tournament, AK Salman of Jugantor was adjudged the best goalkeeper of the tournament while Ad Deen Sajib of ATN Bangla named as the highest scorer of the tournament.
Earlier in the day's semifinals, Dainik Jugantor eliminated Dhaka Tribune beating them by 2-1 goals while ATN Bangla reached the final defeating Desh TV by 1-0 goal.
Thirty two teams from different media houses took part in the tournament for the journalists.

Media Cup Football: Boishakhi TV emerge new champions beating Channel i in final
Boishakhi TV emerged new champions in the 32-team Kool-BSJA six-a-side Media Cup Football Tournament '2023 dethroning Channel i by 4-2 goals in tie breaker on Wednesday.
The keenly contested final match between two teams ended in a goalless draw in the stipulated period at the Artificial Turf of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) in the capital.
Rakib of the champions Boishakhi TV was adjudged the best player of the final.
The champions team was awarded with a prize money of Taka 30,000 while the runners-up team Channel i received prize money of Taka 15,000.
Celebrated national footballer Sheikh Mohammad Aslam witnessed the day's final as the chief guest and distributed the trophies.

Head of the Marketing of the meet's sponsor Square Toiletries Dr Jasmin Zaman, BSJA President ATN Sayeduzzaman, vice president Raihan Al Mugni, joint secretary SM Sumon, Tournament secretary Rabiul Islam, among others, were present on the occasion.
Earlier in the semifinals, Boishakhi TV defeated Kalbela by 3-0 goal while Channel i beat DBC TV by 1-0 goal Wednesday morning.
Thirty-two teams of different print and electronic media, split into eight groups, initially took part in the first phase of the meet on knock out basis.
Later, eight group champions played in the quarterfinals.

Dhaka, Oct 01 (UNB) – The Cool-BSJA Media Cup Six-a-Side Football Tournament 2019, organised by Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA) began on Tuesday at the BFF artificial turf in Motijheel with eight matches deciding on the opening day.
