Lone Khagrachhari coronavirus patient recovers
Ershad Chakma, the only confirmed coronavirus patient in Khagrachhari, has recovered.
His sample tested negative for the third time and he is now doing well, said Civil Surgeon Nupur Kanti Das on Saturday morning adding that now the district has no confirmed coronavirus case.
Besides, the samples of 14 people who came in contact with him, also tested negative.

Another cop tests coronavirus positive in Chattogram
Another policeman was found infected with coronavirus in Chattogram in the last 24 hours till Tuesday, said Civil Surgeon Sheikh Fazle Rabbi.
The policeman, aged about 50, is posted at Dampara Police Lines of the city.
Besides, five other people tested positive for coronavirus in the division during the period and of them, two were infected twice, said the civil surgeon on Tuesday night.

Chattogram man dies at isolation unit of BITID
A man who was undergoing treatment at the isolation unit of Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID) died here on Sunday morning.
Civil Surgeon Sheikh Fazle Rabbi said the man aged about 56 of Sagarika area in the city came to the BITID on Saturday with cold, cough, fever and respiratory problem.
The authorities concerned of the hospital took his samples for test but the man died around 7:30 am at the isolation unit of the hospital.
Coronavirus so far claimed five lives in the district and 35 people tested positive for the virus.

Coronavirus: Laxmipur reports 2nd case
A coronavirus patient has been detected in Laxmipur’s Ramgati upazila, taking the total number of cases in the district to two.
Confirming the matter, Civil Surgeon Abdul Gaffar said the new patient returned home from Narayanganj.
He was taken to Alexander Health Complex after he fell sick. His sample was collected on Friday and sent to Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID) in Chattogram for test, Gaffar said.
BITID test confirmed that the man was infected with coronavirus, the Civil Surgeon said.
Health Minister Zahid Maleque on Saturday said Dhaka's Mirpur, Basabo and Narayangaj have so far been the most infected regions.
On Sunday, the district administration locked down Laxmipur to prevent further transmission of coronavirus.
Bangladesh recorded its highest number of coronavirus cases in a day on Sunday with 139 new cases. So far, the country has confirmed 621 cases.
Besides, four more people died from coronavirus in the last 24 hours which has raised the death toll to 34.
