Traders in Faridpur have decided to close their shopping malls and markets in the district, two days after reopening those before Eid-ul-fitr, fearing rapid transmission of coronavirus.

Four people, including a policeman and a nurse, have tested positive for coronavirus in Faridpur, raising the total number of cases in the district to 12.

An 11-year-old boy ‘tested positive’ for Covid-19 at Kalibari village in Nagarkanda upazila here on Friday.
