After a long and agonizing wait, the parents of Bangladeshi expatriate youth Mohammad Rayhan Kabir, who caused a stir in Malaysia by speaking out on a crackdown on undocumented immigrants in an Al Jazeera documentary, finally received their son with tears of joy on Saturday.

Criticising Bangladeshi migrant worker Mohammad Rayhan Kabir’s arrest  by the Malaysian authorities, Human Rights Watch on Wednesday said the authorities should immediately release him and reinstate his work permit.

Twenty one Bangladeshi civil society organizations working on migration and development demanded release and protection of Mohammad Rayhan Kabir who was arrested in Malaysia for speaking in a documentary broadcasted by Al Jazeera.
