Director General of Rapid Action Battalion ( Rab) Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun on Friday said the investigation into the killing of retired Major Sinha Rashed Khan has made positive progress and the case will be settled soon.

The High Court on Sunday dropped from its cause list a writ petition seeking  restriction on disclosing the details of the investigation of Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan murder case to the media.

Four policemen who were among the accused in the case filed over the murder of Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Kha were sent to Cox's Bazar jail on Wednesday, after making their confessional statement.

Four suspended policemen have been taken on a second phase of four-day remand by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a case filed over the murder of Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan.
