Director General of Rapid Action Battalion ( Rab) Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun on Friday said the investigation into the killing of retired Major Sinha Rashed Khan has made positive progress and the case will be settled soon.
The Rab DG made the remark in response to a question from reporters after inspecting the overall security situation at the Ramna Kali Mandir Puja Mandap in the capital on Friday afternoon.
"We hope the case will be settled soon as there has been positive progress in the investigation of the case," said the DJ.
It would not be appropriate for me to say anything more for the interest of the investigation of the case, he added.
Retired Army Major Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan was shot dead by police at the Shamlapur check post in Baharchhara Union of Teknaf in Cox's Bazar district on July 31.
