Police recovered the decomposed body of an unidentified young man, with his hands and legs tied up, from a house at Tigerpass in Khulshi area of Chattogram port city on Monday. Shahidur Rahman, inspector (investigation) of Khulshi Police Station, said getting bad smell from the tin-shed house near Tigerpass Railway colony, local people informed the matter to police. Later, police recovered the decomposed body after breaking open the lock of the door. The hands, legs and mouth of the body, aged about 33-35, was found tied up. However, police are trying to find out the reason behind the murder and his identification.  

The half-decomposed body of a 16-year-old teen on Saturday was recovered from a paddy field five days after he went missing from his home in Shailkupa upazila of the district. The deceased was identified as Hridoy Hossain, son of Tota Mia of Jungalia village under the upazila. Selim Akter, a member of Kacherkoul Union Parishad, said the youth left his house after an argument with his parents five days back. Aminul Islam, officer-in-charge of Shailkupa police station, said they sent the body to Sadar Hospital for autopsy after recovering from the field. The youth might have been killed but a concrete reason will be known after the postmortem, the OC added.

The decomposed body of a woman was found in the septic tank of a government secondary school in Jashore Sadar upazila Thursday morning. The deceased was identified as Fahima Begum, 35, daughter of Anshar Ali of Sat Pakhiya village in Tala upazila of Satkhira district. Shariful Islam, the woman's brother, said, "Fahima and her husband Jahangir Hossain worked as daily wagers at Dafadar brick kiln in Narendrapur. Fahima was physically and mentally abused by Jahangir." Last month, when asked about his sister, Jahangir didn't respond properly. "So, I suspect he killed my sister and dumped the body in the septic tank." Kotwali police station officer-in-charge Tajul Islam said the body was sent to the Jashore General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Police recovered the decomposed body of an unidentified man aged about 32 years from Chardumuria in Madhumati river flowing through Kalia upazila Friday.
