Bangladesh’s Victory Day celebrated in Dubai with ‘Bijoy Art Exhibition’
Funun Arts Group along with Mahfuz Canvas from Bangladesh organised “Bijoy”, an artistic celebration of 51st Victory Day of Bangladesh, on December 12 at Dubai International Art Center.
This exhibition proclaimed the message of tolerance and unity with which nations should build a safe and secure future for their coming generations.
“Bijoy” featured sixty original artworks from Bangladesh. Most of the artists visited the UAE as part of the exhibition and others sent their artworks to be exhibited.

Artists from twenty nationalities, who are residents of UAE also joined them in exhibiting unique and spectacular artistic pieces on the theme of love, peace, harmony, and togetherness.
Consul General of Bangladesh in Dubai and the Northern Emirates B.M. Jamal Hossain inaugurated this mega art event while eminent personalities were present on the occasion.
Appreciating Funun Arts and Mahfuz Canvas along with the title sponsor, PowerPac, for oganising the exhibition, Jamal Hossain said this will mark the beginning of a new era where art, ideologies, and perspectives merge in creating a better world for posterity.
“Art is beyond all boundaries, and we are using art to bring people together in this wonderful land,” said Shiba Khan, Founder and CEO of Funun Arts.
PowerPac (a concern of Sikder Group) was the title sponsor of this event.

Victory Day celebration: Robi to recreate 'Purbo Digonte Shurjo Utheche'
Telecom operator Robi has launched the "Bijoyer Shurey Notun Experience" campaign for the second year in a row.
This time, people will get an opportunity to work with the legends and the latest sensations of the music industry to recreate the iconic song "Purbo Digonte Shurjo Utheche" to celebrate Victory Day 2021.
As part of the initiative, this iconic song was selected based on the number of votes it received from the people through a social media polling that took place on Robi's Facebook page.

Written by lyricist Gobinda Halder and originally composed by Shomor Das, the new edition song will be performed by the selected participants alongside renowned artists like Dalia Nausheen from Shadhin Bangla Betar Kendra, Hasan from band Ark, Zohad from Nemesis, Tanzir Tuhin from Avash, Sharmin Sultana Shumi from Chirkutt and Sabrina Porshi.
Chirkut's drummer and music composer Pavel Areen has been roped in for the new composition of the song.
"It is a great honour and privilege to pay our humble tribute to our war heroes through the recreation of the iconic song as we celebrate our 50 years of victory. I very much enjoyed conducting the musical performance last year, and this year I aim to take it a notch up," Pavel said.

Robi's Chief Commercial Officer Shihab Ahmad said, "Seeing the phenomenal success of last year, we have decided to recreate another iconic song of victory. Our objective is to present these iconic songs to our new generation for them to cherish, appreciate the essence of our victory for years to come."
