The minister came up with the remarks at a virtual inter-ministerial meeting on the celebrations of Victory Day.
“Our detective branch has been suggested to prevent any possible acts of sabotage during the celebrations across the country and members of law enforcement agencies will work as per the suggestions,” he said.
“We apprehend that people might come out in the streets on Victory Day. We’ve discussed how to ensure their safety and health hygiene,” the minister said.

“The programmes, taken by the Liberation War Affairs Ministry, will be held,” he said, adding that others can organise events indoors but after informing law enforcement agencies so that they can ensure their safety.
Preparations will be taken so that tributes can be paid at National Martyrs' Memorial in Savar following health guidelines, and law enforcers will be deployed for maintaining security as before.
An adequate number of CCTV cameras will be installed in the area and on the route from Dhaka to Savar, the minister said.
