US-Bangla Airlines welcomes first Airbus, another Boeing to expanding fleet
US-Bangla Airlines on Friday welcomed an Airbus A330-300, with 436-seat capacity, to its fleet.
The wide body Airbus landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA), where it was greeted by a water cannon salute.
US-Bangla Airlines Chief Executive Officer Captain Lutfor Rahman officially accepted the newly-added aircraft to his fleet, said a media release signed by Md. Kamrul Islam, general manager (Public Relations) of US-Bangla Airlines Ltd.

The airline plans to use the new Airbus to operate its planned London and Rome routes, as well as Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam in Saudi Arabia, also part of its future plans as it expands its international network.
At present it would operate the Dubai, Sharjah, Muscat, Doha, and Kuala Lumpur routes.
An expanding network goes hand-in-hand with an expanding fleet, and the Airbus was not the only aircraft that US-Bangla added to its fleet on Friday.
US Bangla offers special Bangkok package
Barely 12 hours earlier at 4:10am, a Boeing 737-800 landed at HSIA via Georgia-Serbia. Before Friday, US-Bangla Airlines boasted a fleet of 21 aircraft.
Following today's additions, the airline's fleet consists of an Airbus A330-300, nine Boeing 737-800s, ten ATR 72-600s and three Dash 8-Q400 aircraft. There are plans to add another Airbus A330-300 soon.
US Bangla to operate Dhaka-Male flights 6 days a week from Oct 31
US-Bangla Airlines currently operates regular flights on all domestic routes, as well as international ones to Kolkata, Chennai, Male, Muscat, Doha, Dubai, Sharjah, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Guangzhou.
The two new aircraft were officially received by senior officials of the airlines at HSIA.

US-Bangla Airlines is going to operate daily flights from Dhaka to Bangkok from December 1 this year.
Currently, US-Bangla operates flights five days a week on Dhaka-Bangkok route.

Due to the additional demand of passengers, it will leave Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 11:45 am on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday for Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport and land in Bangkok at 3:15 pm local time from December 1.
On the same day, it will take off from Bangkok at 4:20 pm and reach Dhaka at 6:05 pm.

It will take off from Dhaka at 9:40 am on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and land in Bangkok at 1:10 pm local time. On the same day, it will take off from Bangkok at 1:55 pm and reach Dhaka at 3:40 pm.
The minimum fare for one-way on Dhaka-Bangkok route has been fixed at Tk 27,507 and return fare at Tk 33,154. The rent includes all types of taxes and surcharges.

Widebody aircraft: US-Bangla to add Airbus A330 to its fleet in May
Private carrier US-Bangla Airlines will add two widebody aircraft Airbus A330 to its fleet to increase its international flights.
The aircraft will be added to US-Bangla's fleet in May this year, Md Kamrul Islam, general manager (public relations) of the US-Bangla, said Monday. "Airbus A30 will be able to accommodate 436 passengers."
The widebody aircraft will be used to connect Dhaka with Saudi Arabia's Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam to make things easier for Bangladeshi expatriates, Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
"Bangladesh passengers travel to different destinations of Saudi Arabia through third carriers. To help them save money and time, US-Bangla plans to operate flights to Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam from next June," Kamrul said.

In November last year, the private carrier added one more Boeing 737-800 aircraft to its fleet.
With the addition of one Boeing 737-800, the number of US-Bangla Airlines aircraft now stands at 17, Kamrul said.
Apart from operating flights on all domestic routes, US-Bangla now runs flights to Kolkata, Chennai, Male, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok, Guangzhou, Muscat, Doha, Dubai, and Sharjah.

The new Boeing 737-800 landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka Saturday at 5:50pm directly from Kuwait. Captain Lutfor Rahman, chief executive officer of US-Bangla, officially received the aircraft.
The aircraft has 189 economy class seats, Kamrul said.
Apart from operating flights on all domestic routes, US-Bangla now runs flights to Kolkata, Chennai, Male, Muscat, Doha, Dubai, Sharjah, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Guangzhou.

US-Bangla resumes Chattogram-Kolkata flights September 1
Private carrier US-Bangla Airlines will resume its flights on the Chattogram-Kolkata-Chattogram route on September 1.
The airline will operate flights on this route seven days a week, Md Kamrul Islam, general manager (public relations) of the US-Bangla, said Sunday.
The flights will leave Shah Amanat International Airport at 11:10am and will land at Kolkata's Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport at 11:40pm (local time).

The return flights will leave Kolkata at 12:40pm (local time) on the same day and arrive in Chattogram at 2:10pm.

US-Bangla resumes Dhaka-Bangkok flights September 1
Private carrier US-Bangla Airlines will resume its flights on the Dhaka-Bangkok-Dhaka on September 1.
Except for Mondays and Wednesdays, the airline will operate flights on this route, route five days a week, Md Kamrul Islam, general manager (public relations) of the US-Bangla, said Saturday.
The flights will leave Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:10am and will land at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport at 1:40pm (local time).

The return flights will leave Bangkok at 2:40pm (local time) on the same day and arrive in Dhaka at 4:20pm.
US-Bangla flights on the Dhaka-Bangkok-Dhaka route were grounded due to Covid-19.

US-Bangla to operate two daily flight from Dhaka-Kolkata from August 4
US-Bangla Airlines, one of the largest private airlines in the country, will operate two flights on daily basis from Dhaka to Kolkata from August 4 due to the increase in passengers, said a press release signed by Md. Kamrul Islam, general manager (Public Relations) of the organisation.
The airlines is currently operating one daily flight from Dhaka to Kolkata which takes off at 10:00 am and again comes back at 12:55 pm.
The newly second flight will depart Dhaka for Kolkata at 6:30 pm every day from August 4 and depart from Kolkata to Dhaka at 7:35 pm IST.

The airlines will operate the flights with Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the route. The US-Bangla has a total of 16 aircraft including 6 Boeing 737-800 to its fleet.
Along with the existing route, the airline plans to operate new flights on Chittagong-Kolkata and Dhaka-Delhi routes in the days coming.

US-Bangla Airlines enters 9th year Sunday
Private carrier US-Bangla Airlines will enter the ninth year of providing services on domestic and international routes Sunday.
US-Bangla started its journey on July 17, 2014, by operating flights on Dhaka-Jashore with two Dash 8-Q400 aircraft and soon started running flights to all operational airports within Bangladesh.
The airline now runs flights from Dhaka to Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Sylhet, Jashore, Syedpur, Barishal, and Rajshahi.
US-Bangla started its journey on the international route on May 15, 2016, with the Dhaka-Kathmandu flight.
The carrier now operates international flights from Dhaka to Kolkata, Chennai, Male, Muscat, Doha, Dubai, Sharjah, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok and Guangzhou.
The airline plans to operate flights to more international destinations, including Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, Medina, Abu Dhabi and Delhi soon.
US-Bangla also wants to run flights to new destinations, including London, Rome, and Amsterdam by 2023 and to New York and Toronto by 2025.
The airline owns 16 aircraft, including six Boeing 737-800s, seven ATR 72-600s and three Dash 8-Q400s.
The private carrier now has about 1,800 employees at home and abroad.

Also, US-Bangla is providing several special services such as luggage delivery within 15 minutes of the landing of international flights and a 20 percent discount for senior citizens.
The airline not only transports passengers but also cargo to various domestic and international destinations.
"In today's world, there is no substitute for brand new aircraft to provide proper service. US-Bangla is constantly adding new aircraft to its fleet to ensure comfortable service for passengers," US-Bangla Managing Director Mohammed Abdullah Al-Mamun said.

US-Bangla Airlines offers chance to youths to become pilot
US-Bangla Airlines, one of the largest private airlines in Bangladesh, has taken initiative to help meritorious students become pilot at its own expense.
Those who have got GPA-5 in SSC and HSC including Mathematics and Physics in the science department or Grade-B in at least two subjects (Mathematics and Physics) at this level will be eligible to apply, said a media statement on Thursday.
Graduates with science backgrounds from any reputed universities can also take this opportunity.

Applicants should be maximum 25-year-old with 5 feet 4 inches minimum height.
The Selection process will be completed with the cooperation and overall supervision of the Bangladesh Air Force, added the statement.
Initially, 50 candidates will be selected from among those who have passed preliminary tests including IQ, written and oral tests. The selected candidates will be sent to the world-renowned Flying Academy at the expense of US-Bangla Airlines. Pilots will be able to join US-Bangla Airlines after successfully completing two years of training.
