Defending champions Bashundhara Kings will play former champions Dhaka Abahani Ltd in a titan battle of the of the 10-team ABG Bashundhara Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football on Friday (Jan 26).
The crucial 5th round match between two soccer giants will kick-off at 2:45 pm at the Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni Stadium in Gopalganj.

In the day's other 5th round match, Federation Cup champions Dhaka Mohammedan SC will face Chittagong Abahani Ltd, also at 2:45 pm on Friday at the Rafiquddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh.
Sheikh Jamal DC will meet Brothers Union Club in the day's other fixture at the Muktijoddha Smriti Stadium in Rajshahi on Friday, also at 2:45 pm.

After the 4th round matches, BPL and Independence Cup champions Bashundhara Kings comfortably dominated the league table with all win record securing full 12 points from straight four matches.
Dhaka Mohammedan SC maintained their 2nd slot in the league table securing ten points with three wins and draw while Dhaka Abahani Ltd remained at the 3rd slot securing seven points with two wins, one draw and one defeat.

BPL Football: Holders Bashundhara Kings to play Brothers Union in one of four opening day matches Friday
Defending champions Bashundhara Kings will start their campaign in the country's most prestigious football meet, the 10-team Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) taking on Brothers Union in one of the four opening day matches on Friday (Dec 22).
The first round match will kick-off at 4:30 pm at their home venue --Bashundhara Kings Arena in the capital on Friday.

Besides, three more first round matches will be held on the opening day (Friday) at three venues across the country.
Former champions Dhaka Abahani Limited will play Rahmatganj MFS at 2:30 pm at the Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni Stadium in Gopalganj, Mohammedan SC will face Fortis SC at 2:30 pm at Muktijoddha Smrity Stadium in Rajshahi while Bangladesh Police will meet Chittagong Abahani also at 2:30 pm at Rafique Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh in other first round matches on Friday.
BPL Football begins Friday; four matches on opening day
Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club will play Sheikh Russel KC in the remaining first round match on Saturday (December 23) at 2:3O pm at the Bashundhara Kings Arena here.
The 2nd round matches will be held on December 29 and 30.

League champions Bashundhara Kings will meet traditional black and whites Dhaka Mohammedan SC Ltd in the first semifinal of the Federation Cup Football' 2022-23 on Tuesday (May 9) at 3:15 pm at the Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni Stadium in Gopalganj.
In the 2nd semifinal, Sheikh Russel KC will play former champions Dhaka Abahani Limited at 3:15 pm on May 16 at the Shaheed Dhirendranath Dutta Stadium in Cumilla
Earlier in the quarterfinals, Bashundhara Kings eliminated Muktijoddha SKC by 3-1 goal, Dhaka Abahani defeated Sheikh Jamal DC by 1-0 goal, Mohammedan SC outplayed Chittagong Abahani Ltd by 4-1 goals while Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra beat Rahmatganj MFS by 1-0 goal.
The final match between two winning semifinalists will be held on May 30 at 3:15 pm at the Shaheed Dhirendranath Dutta Stadium in Cumilla
The 3rd-place deciding match between two losing semifinalists will be held on May 23 the Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni Stadium in Gopalganj.

League champions Bshundhara Kings emerged Group B champions in the Bashundhara Group Federation Cup Football 2022-23 beating Chittagong Abahoni Limited by 2-0 goal at the Shaheed Dhirendranath Dutta Sradium in Cumilla on Tuesday..
They dominated the first half by a solitary goal .
Local defender Topu Barman put the Kings ahead in the 40th minute (1-0) while Brazilian midfielder Miguel Ferrerira confirmed the winners victory scoring one more goal in the n55th minute (2-0)..
Sumon Reza of the Kings and Mohammad Tarek of Ctg Abahoni got marching order in the 86th minute of the match after receiving direct red cards.
In the day's other match, Bangladesh Muktijoddah Sangsad KC beat Fortis Football Club by 2-1 goalat the Fl. Lt Matiur Rahman Sradium in Munshiganj on Tuesday.
Uzochukwn scored first for the freedom fighters team Muktijoddha in the 44th minute while Mohammad Sabuj neutralized the margin in the 85th minute.

BPL Football: Bashundhara Kings continue unbeaten run beating Sheikh Russell 3-1
Defending champions Bashundhara Kings continued their unbeaten run in the eleven-team Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football Saturday after beating Sheikh Russell Krira Chakra 3-1 at the Bashundhara Sports Complex.
Star-studded Kings topped the league table with 21 points from seven straight matches; second-placed Dhaka Abahani earned 15 points from as many encounters.
Sheikh Russell remained in the fifth spot with 12 points from six matches.
After a goalless first half, Brazilian forward Robson Robinho put the Kings ahead in the 65th minute from a penalty (1-0); Uzbek midfielder Asror Gafurov doubled the lead in the 73rd minute (2-0).

Nigerian striker Sunday Udoy pulled one back for Sheikh Russell in the 82nd minute (2-1).
Robinho sealed the fate of the match by scoring his second goal for the Kings in the fifth minute of the stoppage time (3-1).
The day's other match between Bangladesh Police FC and Fortis Football Club ended in a 1-1 draw at the Muktijoddha Smriti Stadium in Rajshahi.
Sakhawat Hossain found the back of the net for Fortis in the 37th minute. Edward equalised for Police FC just three minutes later.
After the day's match, Police SC remained in the fourth spot on the table with nine points from seven matches. Fortis stayed in sixth place with seven points from six encounters.

Coming from behind, league champions Bashundhara Kings maintained their winning run in the league beating Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra by 3-1 goals at the Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni Stadium in Gopalganj Friday afternoon.
Burundi defender Selemani put the freedom fighters team Muktijoddha ahead in the 10th minute (1-0).

Brazilian striker Dorielton Gomes struck twice in the 36th and 45+1 minutes (2-1) while medio Matin Miah netted the other goal for the Kings in the 88th minute (3-1).
In the day's other match, Independence Cup runners-up Sheikh Russell KC beat traditional Dhaka Mohammedan SC by 2-0 goals at their home ground --Bashundhara Sports Complex in Dhaka Friday afternoon.
Nigerian forward Sunday Udoh scored both the goals for Sheikh Russel KC in the 30th and 90+1 minutes.
Earlier, Sheikh Russell KC made a frustrating start after conceding 1-2 goals defeat against Bangladesh Police FC while Mohammedan SC made a good start in the league beating Muktijoddha Sangsad KC by 2-0 goals.

Bashundhara Kings and Chittagong Abahani Limited made a good start in the Bashundhara Group Federation Cup Football 2022-23 beating their rivals in two opening Group B matches at two different venues in the country on Tuesday.
League champions Bashundhara Kings made a good start beating Fortis FC Ltd by 2-0 goal at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj Tuesday afternoon.
After a barren first half, Uzbek midfielder Asror Gafurov scored both the goals for the Kings in the 53rd and 90+4 minute.
In the day's other Group B match, Chittagong Abahani Limited beat Muktijoddha Sangsad KC by a solitary goal scored by Nigerian medio David in the 90th minute at the Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni Stadium in Gopalganj Tuesday afternoon.
Earlier in the Group A matches on last Tuesday, Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club beat Rahmatganj MFS by 1-0 goal while Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club outplayed Azampur FC, Uttara by 3-0 goal

Women's Football: Bashundhara Kings, Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan College maintain all win run
Bashundhara Kings and Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan College Sporting Club maintained their all-win run in the Bashundhara Group Women's Football League' 2021-22 at the Bir Shreshta Shaheed Shipahi Mohammad Mustafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur on Wednesday.
After the day's matches, both the teams clearly dominated the league securing full 27 points from straight nine matches and will face each other in the 11th and last round match on December 29 to decide the league champions.
But in the goal differences, Bashundhara Kings are ahead of the ARB College.
In the day's first match, Bashundhara Kings, riding on a hattrick by striker Sanjida Akter, earned a massive 12-0 goal victory over Cumilla United Club this afternoon.
Apart from Sanjida's hattrick with three goals, Shirat Jahan Swapna and Marzia struck two goals each while Sabina, Sheuli, Maria, Masura and Rupna scored one each for the Kings, which dominated the first half by 9-0 goals.

Bashundhara Kings and Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan College continued their winning run in the Bashundhara Group Women's Football League 2021-22 Saturday.
Bashundhara Kings, riding on a hattrick of Shamsunnahar Jr, earned a 7-0 victory over Jamalpur Kacharipara Akadash in the day's second match in the afternoon at the Birshreshtha Shaheed Shipahi Mohammad Mustafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur, Dhaka.
National team forward Shamsunnahar scored five goals; Sanjida and Nargis netted the other two for the Kings.

In the day's first match at the same venue, Aklima Khatun guided Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan College Sporting Club to a 6-0 victory against Cumilla United Club.

Shaheda and Swapna scored the other two goals for the winners.

Bashundhara Kings, which earned a huge 10-1 goals victory over Suddopuskorini JSC in the last match, today (Tuesday) piled up another massive 11-0 goals victory over Nasrin Sports Academy in the afternoon.

National forward cum captain Sabina Akhter, Anuching Moguni and Sumaiya made hat tricks for the Kings in the day's match scoring four, three and three goals respectively while Sanjida netted the remaining goal.
This was 2nd consecutive hattrick for Anuching Mogini in the league after making hattrick with four goals in the previous match against Suddopuskorini JSC.
