Design
With Poco M3 Pro, designers have chosen to break the trend of Xiaomi's typical design pattern. They have come up with a design of their own, which they have even put below the back camera "Designed by Poco." However, the smartphone resembles Redmi's latest models.
Poco M3 Pro's both front and back sides are glossy plastic made, which is a pretty fingerprint capturer. The phone maintains a dimension of 161.8×75.3×8.9 mm and weighs only 190g. This super-light phone easily sets in the hand, and manipulation is also smooth. There are three color variations of the phone- Poco Yellow, Power Black, and Cool Blue.

Unlike the ancestor Poco M3, this phone is hybrid, therefore the user must pick between two SIM cards or one SIM and a memory card. The slot is located on the left side. Volume controls and a power button with a fast fingerprint scanner are located on the right side. An infrared connector and a 3.5mm audio jack are placed on the top. And the bottom has a Type-C USB port, a microphone, and a speaker.
The new device lacks a stereo, which is clearly a downgrade from the original Poco M3.
Display
The POCO M3 Pro 5G has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display. If you are looking for an AMOLED display, M3 Pro will dishearten you. Nowadays, many lower priced competitors are offering AMOLED display. Therefore, POCO needs to consider this point.

It comes with an FHD+ screen resolution, a max brightness level of 500nits, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a pixel density of 405ppi. The display also implements Adaptive Sync, which allows it to change the refresh rate from 30Hz to 90Hz according to the material shown on the screen. Users can choose between 60Hz or 90Hz from the options menu. Apart from that, customers can also change the dark mode and select one of three color schemes: Auto, Standard, or Saturated.
The display's daytime visibility and viewing angles are good to go with. And there is no problem with readability also. Users can stream videos in Full HD resolution on sites like YouTube and Amazon Prime Video using the Widevine L1 DRM of the phone. The display screen has been protected with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3, which will keep minor scratches at bay.
Unfortunately, the display lacks water resistance and splash.

Cameras & Captures
In terms of cameras, POCO has stuck to the most basic configuration available at that pricing range. A primary lens of 48MP, along with a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor, has been placed on the camera panel. There is also an 8MP selfie camera.
Lack of an Ultra-wide sensor keeps M3 Pro 5G behind many contemporary phones under similar or even lower price ranges.
The camera app of the phone includes Macro mode, 48MP mode, Pro mode, Portrait mode, time-lapse, slow motion, and max 1080p video recording at a 30FPS rate.

The daytime photos shoot turns out to be very excellent, with realistic colours and a well-balanced dynamic range. Regarding the foliage and plants, the details could be faint sometimes. There is a pro colour option that increases the saturation level of the images. It will be loved by the brightness-loving people.
The primary camera takes pictures at 12MP mode by default, but users can manually switch it to 48MP mode if they want. The specialized 48MP mode captures images with excellent clarity, although some noises can also be there.

In low-light situations, the camera produces comparatively more noisy images with smeared details than its previous versions. Turning on night mode can improve exposure level to an extent; however, the noisy effect and crushed details still persist.
In affluent lighting, the front-facing 8MP selfie camera produces excellent self-portraits. The POCO M3 Pro 5G will not disappoint selfie lovers. The images are full of details and also look crisp. The work of selfie portrait mode is also respectable, although soft edges may occur in certain instances owing to factors like stray hairs and others.

While competitors like Samsung A22 is offering AMOLED screen at a much lower price range, M3 Pro’s IPS display literally brings it down. Lack of stereo speaker is another drawback of this phone. Provision of an ultra-wide sensor in its rear camera series could make M3 pro 5G a better deal.
