Malaysian acting High Commissioner to Bangladesh Amir Farid Abu Hasan has said they received around 180,000 Bangladeshi tourists in 2019 making the Southeast Asian country one of the biggest tourist destinations for Bangladeshis.

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali on Saturday said an initiative is being taken to declare 2021 as the ‘Tourism Year’ marking the golden jubilee of the country’s independence.
