Former Bangladesh foreign secretary and immediate-past high commissioner to India Syed Muazzem Ali was fondly remembered as an astute diplomat, fine human being, a brave freedom fighter and a genuine friend of India.

Indian Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale paid homage to late Syed Muazzem Ali on Tuesday saying the former Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh and immediate-past High Commissioner to India was “a friend of India and a wonderful diplomat to work with and a fine human being.”
