More than a hundred families of Sadar upazila remained stranded in the flood water while many took shelter on the flood control embankment along with their domestic animals, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Firoz Al Mamun said.
Besides, river erosion also took severe form in Nakla upazila, he said.

Abdur Razzak, a local rickshaw puller said he along with his family has been living on the flood control embankment for the past seven days.
Water Development Board (WDB) said the onrush of upstream water has been increasing the water level of Brahmaputra River for the past few days.
If the current rate of water rising continues, it will cross the danger level soon, said Md Mostafa Mia, water measurement officer of WDB.
