“Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Dhaka, Mymensingh and Rangpur divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said a met office bulletin.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it said.
Monsoon axis runs through Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal and thence
northeastwards to Assam across southern part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to Northeast Bay.
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate to strong over North Bay.
Rainfall activity may increase over northern part of Bangladesh in the next five days.
Country’s maximum temperature was recorded 34 degrees Celsius in Jashore and the minimum temperature 24.8 degrees Celsius in Cox’s Bazar.
The highest rainfall for the last twenty-four hours was recorded at 40mm at Tetulia.
