A worker was killed as a boundary wall collapsed on him while digging soil at a construction site in Bhatara area of the capital on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Sobuj Mia, 40, of Sunamganj district.

The boundary wall of an under-construction 10-storey building collapsed on Sabuj around 11am as he along with others were digging soil adjacent to the wall, leaving him critically injured, said Abu Bakkar, site manager of Dwelling Real Estate Company.
Later, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where the doctor declared him dead.

Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH Police Outpost, said the body was sent to DMCH morgue for an autopsy.
The incident has been reported to Bhatara police, he added.
