President of Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh (BDB) Dr AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury on Monday expressed deep shock at the death of iconic playback singer Andrew Kishore.
In a condolence message, he said, “Andrew Kishore is an unforgettable name in the music arena of Bangladesh. Playback emperor Andrew Kishore won the hearts of countless listeners and film audiences with this many eternal songs.”
He prayed for the eternal peace of the singer’s departed soul and conveyed his profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
BDB general secretary Abdul Mannan also condoled Andrew Kishore’s demise.
Meanwhile, Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader expressed deep sorrow over the singer’s death.
In a condolence message, he said millions of people were fascinated by Andrew Kishore's magical voice.
He said the eight-time National Film Award winning melody king, Andrew Kishore will live forever in the hearts of Bangalees through his songs.
GM Quader said the loss the country’s music industry has suffered through Andrew Kishore’s demise will not be filled easily.
After a long battle with cancer, Andrew Kishore died at private hospital in Rajshahi on Monday evening.
