Realme X3 has two variants: Regular X3 and X3 Superzoom. The design and hardware features of the regular X3 are almost identical to its ‘SuperZoom’ counterpart, except for RAM capacity and telephoto lens. Stay with us to know the features of both variants.
Design
Realme X3’s rear-side inherits the dual-toned gradient design from its ancestors. Though built with a plastic frame, its backside features glass construction. Its front side and camera bump are protected by Gorilla glass. To prevent scratches, you need to use the back cover. Realme boasts that X3 is coming with a trend-setting design, but in reality, its glass-plastic sandwich body with repetitive design tells a different story!
On the left-side, X3 has a power button combined with the fingerprint sensor. The easily reachable volume rocker button sits on the right side. Although X3 does not have any stereo speaker, the distortion-free performance of its bottom-firing 1216 super linear loudspeaker is mind-blowing. The lack of a 3.5mm earphone jack is shocking!
The bottom edge accommodates a dual SIM tray, USB Type-C port, and speaker. On the rear side, Realme X3 presents a vertical camera bump with the logo placed on the left corner. The front screen carries punch-hole dual cameras. Weighing 202g, Realme X3 might require some extra effort to hold by one hand. Its weight-structure balance does not seem quite impressive.
Though X3’s design looks ordinary, its curved edges and smart look cannot be ignored. Considering design and construction, we found no difference between the regular X3 and Superzoom. You can choose between two amazing color options: Glacier Blue and Arctic White.

Display
Realme X3 features a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display. However, the users might feel discouraging to use the IPS screen, as predecessor phones of Realme X series came with AMOLED display. Protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5, its front screen features slim bezels with a 90.5% screen-to-body ratio. The latest X3 offers an FHD+ display featuring 2400x1080 resolutions at 20:9 ratios with 399 PPI. Decent viewing angles have made X3 a smooth performer.
Though the color quality might appear a bit oversaturated, the vibrancy is stunning. Its outdoor visibility could have been better. By virtue of its 120Hz display Realme X3 can make the fans cheerful! But it falls behind Realme X2 pro’s AMOLED display with a 90HZ refresh rate. However, as a mid-budget Smartphone, overall the display quality of Realme X3 is satisfactory. The Superzoom counterpart offers the same specs and performance.

Cameras
The camera specification of Realme X3 will make you forget all of its limitations. As we have mentioned before you will find a slight difference in the rear camera setup of its regular X3 and high-end Superzoom variant. The regular X3 offers 64 MP Quad camera set up enriched with 20X Hybrid Zoom; whereas the X3 Superzoom is blessed with 60X Hybrid Zoom.
On the rear-side of X3 (Regular), it has a 64MP Wide-angle sensor (main), 12MP telephoto sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and 2MP macro sensor. Furthermore, you will get a 105MP selfie camera (dual sensors: 16MP, and 8MP) on its front side. This variant can support a range of image modifying features like Beauty filters, Super Nightscape, AI, Portrait mode, Starry mode, UIS, HDR, 4K videos, etc.
The X3 Superzoom counterpart shares similar specifications except for the telephoto lens. In this high-end version, you will get an 8MP Periscope lens supported by OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) technology. It is certainly a great edition in a mid-budget Smartphone.

Built with Samsung GW1 sensors, the main rear cameras (Regular and Superzoom) offer magnificent image quality. The dynamic range and sharpness will please you. However, in low-light conditions, the images may show some noises. Though not the flagship level, the quality of image processing looks natural. What is more? With Realme X3 and Superzoom, you can shoot 1080p/720p@30fps videos applying the UIS video stabilization mechanism.

Performance
Realme X3 is equipped with Octa-core Kryo 485 processor featuring up to 2.96 GHz clock speed. Providing Qualcomm® SM 8150 Snapdragon™ 855+ (7nm) chipset, Realme aims to offer flagship performance. What is more? Its processor is integrated with Adreno 640 (700 MHz) GPU. Thanks to Realme, for offering such a terrific configuration in Realme X3 – both regular and Superzoom.
But can this Smartphone really please the gamers? Its superb refresh rate (120Hz) would facilitate swapping and pressing different controls. Choosing the ‘Smart Battery’ mode, you can play PUBG smoothly at 60 fps. When this phone’s charge drops below 40%, this gadget may show heating problems leading to stuttering in the game.
However, in ‘Performance’ mode you can play more smoothly with fewer lags, but the battery may drown quickly. It is expected that Realme would optimize its UI in upcoming updates to minimize these issues. But still, you do not need to worry! Thanks to Realme for adding an exclusive liquid cooling mechanism in X3 variants. These phones get cool from time to time.

OS and Battery
Both Realme X3 and Superzoom run on Realme UI on top of Android 10. Although Realme UI may not perform like MIUI, its fast processor assures swift navigating without stutters. With 128GB internal storage, the regular X3 has two options of Ram capacity: 6GB and 8GB. Whereas, the Superzoom has two options for both RAM and storage capacity: 8GB/12GB and 128GB/256GB. Both the regular X3 and Superzoom feature LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.0 data transfer technology. Whether you browse the internet, stream videos, or watch music, you will enjoy the mind-blowing performance.
Realme X3 (Regular and Superzoom) is powered by a 4,200mAh battery. The battery capacity seems low when a 5000mAh battery is usually available in Budget phones. The box comes with a 30-watt Dart charger. When the typical chargers deal with higher voltage and lower electricity, the dart chargers dare to charge with high Ampere electricity keeping the voltage at standard level. You can fully recharge Realme X3 within one hour. Its 120Hz refresh rate may create pressure upon the battery, but still, it can support you for more than 24 hours on moderate use.
