Cox’s Bazar, Sept 16, (UNB) – Police recovered the bullet-hit bodies of two youths from Kata Pahar and Kabita Chattar areas in the town on Monday.
One of the deceased was identified as Rifat (25), of Baharchara area of the town while the identity of another deceased could not be known yet.
Farid Uddin Khandokar, officer-in-charge of Cox’s Bazar Sadar model police station said a gunfight might have taken place between two groups of drug dealers in the early morning.
On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to sadar hospital morgue, he said.
Two locally made firearms and some Yaba pills were seized from the spot.
Police are investigating the incident.
