ACC summons five traders over PPE, mask corruption

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Wednesday summoned five businessmen including owner of JMI Hospital Requisite Manufacturing Ltd for interrogation over mask and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) corruption.
ACC Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumer Bhattacharya said a notice signed by ACC Director Mir Mohammad Joynul Abedin Shibly has been issued in this regard.
The summoned traders are JMI Hospital Requisite Manufacturing Ltd’s Chairman Md Abdur Razzak, Toma Construction and Co Ltd’s coordinator (medical team) Md Motiur Rahman, Elan Corporation Ltd’s Chairman Aminul Islam Amin, Meditech Imaging Ltd’s director Md Humayun Kabir and Dhaka Central International Medical College and Hospital’s Chairman, also owner of Lexicon Merchandise and Technocrat Ltd Md Motazzerul Islam Mithu.
Of them, Abdur Razzak, Motiur Rahman and Aminul Islam Amin will have to appear before the ACC Headquarters on July 8 while Humayun Kabir and Motazzerul Islam Mithu on July 9, he said.
