She is the first female ambassador of Bangladesh to be posted in the Middle East region, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs here on Tuesday.
Ambassador-designate Nahida is a career foreign service officer, belonging to 15th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Foreign Affairs cadre.
In her distinguished diplomatic career, she served in various capacities at Bangladesh Missions in Rome, Kolkata and Geneva.
Nahida obtained her Master of Arts (MA) degree in English Literature from Dhaka University and she is fluent in French, English and Bangla.
She was trained in Public International Law at The Hague Academy of International Law in the Netherlands and obtained Diploma in International Relations from the Institute of Public Administration of Paris in France.
