The government has reduced the rate of Value Added Tax (VAT) on International Terrestrial Cable (ITC), International Internet Gateway (IIG) and Nationwide Telecommunication Transmission Network (NTTN) to 5 percent.
The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has issued an SRO in this regard.

Earlier, the government fixed VAT on internet services at 5 percent while the rate was 15 percent on internet-related value chain services provided by ITC, IIG and NTTN.
