The Maldives will recruit workers from Bangladesh by creating a solid framework under an agreement, said visiting Foreign Minister of the Maldives Abdulla Shahid.

Bangladesh and the Maldives will hold bilateral talks on Tuesday to find ways to strengthen the relations between the two countries, giving a focus on trade and investment and the welfare of Bangladeshi workers in the Maldives.

Foreign Minister of the Maldives Abdulla Shahid is scheduled to pay an official visit to Bangladesh on February 8-11 at the invitation of his Bangladesh counterpart Dr AK Abdul Momen.
