New Fire Service and Civil Defense DG takes charge
Brigadier General Md. Main Uddin on Wednesday took charge as the Director General of the Department of Fire Service and Civil Defense (FSCD).
Brigadier General Md. Main Uddin replaced Brigadier General Md Sazzad Hussain who officially handed over the charge to the new Director General at a programme held at the FSCD headquarters on Wednesday afternoon.

Officers and employees of all levels of the department were present on the occasion. In charge of Media Cell of the FSCD headquarters Deputy Assistant Director Md. Shahjahan Sikder conducted the programme.
Divisional Deputy Directors of all the departments, principals of the training complexes and field level officers and employees also attended the function.

Popular actor Chanchal Chowdhury revealed a surprising new bald look on social media on Friday, surprising his fans and admirers.
The National Award-winning actor posted the image of his surprising avatar on his official Facebook and Instagram profiles, which is for his upcoming web film, "Boli".
The web film is scheduled to air on Hoichoi, and to be directed by Shankha Dasgupta.

According to Chanchal Chowdhury, he has adopted this new look to offer a different presentation to his audiences. "This is going to give the audience a totally different flavour," he said.

Islami Bank inaugurates 374th branch, 6 new sub-branches
Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) inaugurated its 374th branch in Netrokona's Mohongonj, and six new sub-branches in Dhaka's Jigatala and Green Road, Narayanganj's Kanchpur Bus Stand, Kishoreganj's Gaital, Pirojpur's Swarupkathi and Madaripur's Mostafapur Bus Stand Sunday.
IBBL Managing Director and CEO Mohammed Monirul Moula inaugurated the branch and sub-branches on a virtual platform.
Muhammad Qaisar Ali and Md Omar Faruk Khan, additional managing directors of the bank, addressed the program as the special guests.

IBBL Deputy Managing Director Md Mosharraf Hossain presided over the programme while Md Mahboob Alam, senior executive vice-president of the bank, delivered the welcome speech.
Monirul Moula said, " IBBL is now serving clients through 374 branches, 187 sub-branches and 2,329 agent banking outlets."
"In this time of the pandemic, IBBL is successfully conducting investment activities under stimulus packages and priority sectors announced by the government following the guidelines of the Bangladesh Bank and regulatory authorities."
