Puneeth Rajkumar: A successful actor in Kannada films
Lohit alias Puneeth Rajkumar, the youngest child of Dr. Rajkumar and Parvathamma, was born on March 17, 1975. At the age of only six months, director V.Samashekar brought him to the big screen through his movie 'Premada Kanike'. At the age of one, he was seen in the movie 'Sanadi Appanna'. When he was seven, Puneeth won the Karnataka State Film Award for best child actor for his role in the superhit movie ‘Hosa Bilaku’. In 1985, he won the National Film Award for best child actor for his playing Innocent Ramu in ‘Bettada Hubhu’.

In 2002, Lohit appeared in front of the audience as a hero in the movie 'Appu'. For his outstanding success in this movie, he was known as Appu to all of his fans. In 2007, he was awarded the title of 'Power Star of Sandalwood' for his role in the movie 'Ajay'. In the same year, he won the Filmfare Best Actor Award for his performance in 'Arasu'. He won the Best Actor award at the Karnataka State Film Event for the 2006 film 'Milna'.

Superstar Puneeth used all the earnings from his singing for various social welfare activities. He also regularly donated to several Kannada medium schools. 26 orphanages, 16 old age homes, and 19 gaushalas were run with his help.
