Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) on Wednesday arrested a man as he allegedly raped a 12 years old girl in Bhagalpur area of Savar.
The arrestee was identified as Nizamuddin Sardar Mizan, 30, a local bus driver.
Rab men arrested him in a drive from Dhamrai area in the afternoon, Rab sources said.
Mizan raped the girl on October 21 and put her under lock and key in a room from where the victim was rescued later.
Victim’s father filed a case under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act over the matter.
