Design

Though being a budget-range phone, Infinix Smart 5 will please you by its smart outlook. On the back panel, this phone presents a magnificent Ocean Wave design visualized in V-shaped patterns.

It weighs about 183g that is quite lightweight. But due to the large display, this device might feel bulky. This phone bears about 8.8mm thickness, 165.4mm length, and 76.4mm width.

‘Smart 5’ phone is built with plastic frame and plastic back. However, you will get a glass screen on the front side.

On the right side, there is a triple tray slot that can accommodate dual Nano SIMs with a memory card. The volume rockers and power button lie on the left side of this phone. Its upper edge is kept free.

And, the bottom edge is packed with a speaker grill, micro USB charging port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and microphone. However, provision of USB Type-C could make it a better deal.

However, no information is found regarding its glass protection. So, you can apply an additional glass cover to protect the screen.

Here you get an HD+ display featuring 720 by 1600 pixels resolution at 20:9 ratios with ~266 PPI densities. The quality of the display is below average. You may experience lack of sharpness and color imbalance. And, the touch response of the display is not so fast. It takes some time to respond, which may irritate you.

Camera

On the rear side, Smart 5 has triple camera series that includes a 13MP prime shooter (f/1.8 aperture) and two other QVGA sensors. Its main rear camera captures nice images in ample daylight. Infinix Smart 5 is available in two variants. The basic variant features 32GB internal storage with 2GB of RAM. While the top variant offers 64GB internal storage with 3GB of RAM capacity. Here, Infinix has applied eMMC 5.1 data connection technology which is acceptable under this budget.

Processor

In the hardware sector, the Smart 5 is provided with MediaTek’s entry-level chipset Helio A20. This Quad-core 12nm chipset is built with four Cortex-A53 cores featuring 1.8 GHz clock speed. The graphics unit carries PowerVR GE8320 GPU. However, in this time, the provision of a quad-core processor is very disappointing.

Infinix Smart 5 runs on the Infinix XOS operating system on top of the Android 10 GO edition. While navigating different features, the interface may show lags, delay, and lack of smoothness. Infinix must overcome these issues to stay in the competition in today’s market.

In this phone, the call quality and network connection are good. This phone can work fine for regular usage, but not recommended for gaming purposes.
