Weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky over the country for next 24 hours commencing 6 pm on Wednesday, Met office said.
About the synoptic situation, Bangladesh Meteorological Department said the Cyclonic storm “NIVAR” over Southwest Bay and adjoining area moved northwestwards.
It intensified into a Severe Cyclonic storm first and then into a very Severe Cyclonic storm and was centred at 06 pm over the same area (lat. 11.5° N and long. 81.0° E), BMD said.
The storm is likely to move in a northwesterly direction further and may cross Tamil Nadu Puducherry coast by early morning tomorrow (26 November, 2020).
Ridge of Sub-continental high extends up to Bihar and adjoining area.
Night temperature may rise by (1-2)° C and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
