Samsung Galaxy M51 Review
Samsung Galaxy M-series features mid-range to low-end smartphones. In the M-series phones, you would find some advanced-level features, besides the essential features. Samsung has launched its latest M-series Smartphone, Galaxy M51 on the 11th of September, 2020. Currently, this phone is available in Bangladesh. Stay with us to know Samsung Galaxy M51 official Price in Bangladesh with specs and review.
Samsung Galaxy M51 Review with Key Features
Samsung Galaxy M51 stands out from the contemporary phones with its exclusive 7000mAh Li-Po non-removable battery. Though the battery power is actually 6800mAh, Samsung is advertising it as 7000mAh. The reverse charging facility makes this phone serve as a power bank on the moment of necessity. Certainly, it is a great advantage for those people who stay outside the home for long hours!
Galaxy M51 is provided with a 25W fast charging unit and a Type-C 2.0 cable. Samsung claims that the 25W takes only 115 minutes to fully (100%) recharge this phone. You can get at least 2 days back up on moderate use. For heavy use, it can support more than a day. In simple words, M51’s battery backup is a blessing for gamers, movie watchers, and travelers.
Like the other M-series phones, Galaxy M51 comes in big size and shape. Its dimensions are 163.9 by 76.3 by 9.5 mm. This Galaxy phone may feel a bit bulky due to its massive battery. But still, the M51 is slimmer than POCO X3 Smartphone that bears a smaller battery. M51 weighs about 213g. But don’t worry! The amazing weight-distribution design of Samsung won’t let you feel the weight much.
Galaxy M51 is built with a plastic frame and plastic back. Though its design is standard, the users rationally expect glass back in this price range. Its glossy rear panel offers a marvelous shine. But it catches the finger-print quite easily. If used without a back cover, the smooth back-part may get scratches. The slim bezel on every side enhances the beauty of the Galaxy M51. Its home button serves as a fingerprint scanner that performs swiftly with accuracy.
On the back-side, M51 bears a quad-camera setup. What makes this phone more attractive is the disappearance of the camera bump! You can hardly find such an amazing design-efficiency in contemporary phones. Lack of Haptic Feedback (vibration experience) may irritate the users while typing through the keypad.
If you are looking for a Smartphone with a tremendous display, don’t miss the Samsung Galaxy M51. It comes with a 6.7-inch display. This Smartphone out-wins many expensive competitors with an astonishing ‘Super AMOLED Plus’ display with full HD plus resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels, 20:9 ratio, and ~393 PPI density). M51 supports HDR10 for YouTube streaming. Unfortunately, this feature is not available while watching videos on other platforms.
Galaxy M51 has 480nit brightness. But its outdoor visibility performance is less efficient than the other popular Samsung Phones like Galaxy A51 or A71. M1’s display has a punch-hole design which will remind you of the Samsung Galaxy A71 Smartphone released in 2019.
On its rear-side Samsung Galaxy M51 has four cameras including a 64 MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, a 12 MP (f/2.2, 123˚) ultra-wide sensor, a 5 MP (f/2.4) macro sensor, and a 5 MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. On the front side, M51 bears a 32 MP (f/2.0) selfie camera. The prime rear camera comes with a Sony IMX682 sensor.
Galaxy M51 is blessed with a smart camera algorithm. You don’t have any choice but to like the photos captured by M51. These cameras can deliver superb performance in every sector including color pixel management, dynamic range, low light captures, night mode performance, etc. However, image details could have been better. Its algorithm smartly enhances the color tones from the natural colors, which some people may not like.
Samsung offers exciting photo-capturing as well as image-editing options like one-shot option (capturing multiple photos), Live Mode (blurring the background), black-and-white option, Google AI feature, Night Mode, Macro Mode, etc.
You can shoot both 4K and 1080p video footage at 30fps with both the front and rear cameras, which is really charming! But the provision of a 1080p@60fps video shooting facility could make Galaxy M51 a better deal! Its EIS stabilization is good, a bit smoother performance is expected under its price-range.
Samsung Galaxy M1 is equipped with an octa-core processor featuring two kryo 470 gold cores with 2.2 GHz+ clock speed and six kryo 470 silver cores with 1.8 GHz clock speed. Thanks to Samsung for finally moving to SD from its usual Exynos chipset. In the latest M51 Smartphone, Samsung offers the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset. Its graphic unit carries Adreno 618 GPU.
You may know that SD 730G is a time-tested chipset for moderate level gaming. With Galaxy M51, you can play PUBG at HD graphics at a high frame rate. COD performs well in medium settings. You can smoothly play other contemporary multiplayer games like Asphalt 9, FreeFire, etc. The heating issue is acceptable. After long-time gaming, you may experience a few frame drops. However, by lowering the settings, you can enjoy smoother gaming performance on this phone.
Galaxy M51 has a massive LPDDR4X 8GB RAM. This powerful RAM would facilitate the system in multi-tasking and dealing with heavy apps/software smoothly. It has adequate internal storage of 128GB featuring UFS 2.1 data transfer technology. Do you need more storage space? You can enhance the storage up to 512GB using an external memory card.
Samsung has reputation for developing a reliable user interface (UI) for its phones. In the latest Galaxy M51 Smartphone, Samsung has provided One UI’s Core edition on top of Android 10. This latest UI comes with a bunch of new features such as screen recording, call recording, display support options, dark mode, etc.
However, like the other M-series phones, M51 lacks Knob security features. Samsung offers this kind of security phones in its A-series phones. The system may delay for a moment while opening the apps. Its UI has some bloatware due to diverse pre-installed apps. You can easily un-install unnecessary apps.
The performance of M51’s bottom-firing speaker is below the satisfactory level, as many low-priced competitor phones are offering better sound quality. Its headphone supports Dolby Atoms features that can be customized as per your requirement. The sound quality of its microphone is awesome. During calls, from both sides, the sound is clearly heard that is good news for attaining virtual meetings during the ongoing pandemic situation. Its network reception performance is average but could have been better.

Samsung M51 is the best phone in its M-series line up. M51 offers a bunch of flagship features such as Super AMOLED Plus display, FHD+ resolution, massive 7000mAhbattery, trendy design, magnificent photos, etc. However, under this budget, a better processor was expected. Considering the overall features, the Samsung Galaxy M51's official price seems a bit high. But the brand value of Samsung does matter!
