Are you on the search for the best reliable affordable official Smartphone of 2020? All your needs can be fulfilled by the Poco M2 Smartphone released on the 5th of November in 2020. As a sub-brand of Xiaomi, Poco aims to produce entry-level to mid-range phones. Read this article, to know the officialPoco M2 price in Bangladesh with the full review.
Poco M2: Review of Key Features
Here you get 6.53-inch IPS LCD display. This size is quite comfortable to watch contents. One of the most amazing facts about POCO M2 is its full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 by 2340 pixels, at 19.5:9 ratios with ~395 PPI densities. You can hardly find any other brand that is offering such a great feature under this price range.
Though Poco boasts about the inclusion of 400 nits brightness for its M2 Smartphone, its sunlight visibility is quite average. Its display is protected by the corning gorilla glass 3. This device features about ~83.2% screen-to-body ratio. The bezels and chins are not so thick.
Though Poco M2 is made of a plastic frame with a plastic back, its build quality is far better than many pricier competitor phones from other brands. The back part presents two shades of color that make this look smart. On the upper edge of M2, there is a noise cancellation microphone and an IR blaster. The bottom edge is occupied by the single bottom-firing speaker, USB type C port, speaker grill, and 3.5mm audio jack.
Thanks to Poco for providing the type C port and IR blaster in this phone that make this device more user-friendly. The volume rocker and power button are placed on the right side. And, the triple slot tray is found on the left side. In this device, you can use dual nano-SIM cards with a dedicated memory card.
On the rear side of this phone, you will get a quad-camera setup with a flash and a fingerprint sensor. Unlike other phones, in the Poco M2 Smartphone, the fingerprint sensor has been placed inside the camera bump. But Poco M2 has a noticeable design flaw that the users can unintentionally make the cameras dirty by accidentally touches while looking for the fingerprint sensor. Another downside is that the box has no back cover. Don’t worry! Poco M2 will amaze you with many other exciting features!
Poco M2 is packed with four camera series on its rear side. This setup includes a 13MP f/2.2 prime shooter, 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide sensor, 5MP f/2.4 macro sensor, and 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. On the front side, there is an 8MP f/2.0 selfie shooter.
Though many Smartphone manufacturing brands are advertising high configuration cameras in recent days, only a few can maintain quality. In presence of ample daylight, Poco M2’s prime rear shooter can capture excellent photos. The color vibrancy and detailing are good, but the dynamic range is not so overwhelming.
The performance of its macro camera is more than average. You can take good selfies under portrait mode. Compared with the competitor phones, Poco M2 does a good job of preserving the clarity of photos under low light situations. But still, there may be some noises that should be ignored considering its price range.
On the front side, the selfie camera comes with a trendy top-notch design. You can capture good photos with the front camera, but the dynamic range is quite average like its rear camera setup. Both the front and rear camera can take 1080p footage at 30fps.
Poco M2 is blessed with 6GB RAM. This extra RAM power would improve your experience while dealing with advanced gaming software or heavy apps. The basic variant sports 64GB of internal storage and for the upper variant, this capacity reaches 128GB. Here you get eMMC 5.1 storage technology that is acceptable in this price range. Both the fingerprint sensor and face unlock system work fast. The sound quality is average.
In this phone, Poco has applied MIUI 11 OS on top of Android 10. Its user interface is free from the advertisement that is really praiseworthy! It has about 10 pre-installed apps. You can uninstall the unnecessary apps to make the user interface run more smoothly.
Poco M2 is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G80 12nm SoC. Its octa-core processor is built with cortex architecture A-75 and A-55 cores with an utmost clock speed of 2.0GHz. The graphical unit of this phone has been enriched with the Mali-G52 MC2 graphics card.
Helio G80 performs great for playing the gaming software efficiently. You can comfortably play contemporary multiplayer games such as PUBG, COD, Freefire, etc. However, after playing games continuously for one hour, the backside of this device may catch some heat. Not to mention, this slight heating issue should be ignored for this entry-level Smartphone.
Poco M2 is provided with a 5000mAh battery. With this phone, the company delivers a 10Watt charger. For normal use, you can get battery support for more than a day; while heavy use can provide 10h of support on a single charge session.
It takes around 2 hours and 45 minutes to fully recharge this phone. However, Poco claims that M2 is compatible with an 18W charger. But in a practical test, recharging with an 18W charger has failed to reduce the charging time. Beware of this 18W charging gimmick!
Currently, Poco M2’s official basic variant 6GB/64GB costs only BDT 15,999 in Bangladesh. And, the upper variant 6GB/128GB is officially available in Bangladesh at BDT 16,999. The price may change depending upon the circumstances.
You can’t expect much from a budget phone. But Poco M2 is offering some attractive features like the mind-blowing Full HD+ display, powerful RAM, good camera performance, standard battery support, reliable processor, etc. If you are looking for the best official Smartphone under 17000, Poco M2 deserves your attention!
