POCO C3: Review of Key Features
Design
POCO C3 appears with a trendy slim design. Though it weighs about 194g, you can comfortably hold this device with one hand. It features a plastic build body with a plastic back. The back panel presents a combo of the glossy finish on the upper area and textured matte finish from the middle to the lower portion. The company boasts that C3’s rear panel is protected by a flash-proof P2i nano-coating.
It has a 3.5mm headphone jack on the upper edge. The bottom edge sports a micro USB port, a speaker grille, and a primary microphone. The volume rocker and power button are placed on the right side. The triple-slot SIM card tray is found on the left. In this phone, you can insert dual nano-SIM cards and an external memory card at a time. It has no secondary noise cancellation microphone.
On the rear side, C3 bears a triple camera setup. However, the camera bump is not appreciable. The application of a back cover is recommended to protect the sensors from scratches. The box doesn’t provide any back cover, so you have to buy one! You would find the ‘POCO’ logo just below the camera housing. This phone has no fingerprint sensor that is quite disappointing!

Display
POCO C3 offers a 6.43-inch IPS LCD screen. In this phone, you get HD+ plus resolution featuring 720 x 1600 pixels, 20:9 ratios, and ~ 270 PPI densities. In this price range, you can’t expect a full HD display. The quality of its display is not so overwhelming, but the vibrancy of colors looks attractive. This device would be handy for watching videos, web series, or movies. Besides this, people who are looking for a Smartphone to attain virtual meetings, or online classrooms, can grab this phone!
With an 80.3% screen-to-body ratio, C3’s chins and bezels are highly noticeable. With 400 nit brightness, this phone provides average performance in direct sunlight. The touch response works fine. Though the display is protected by Panda glass, you can apply an additional glass protector to enhance the durability of its screen.

Performance
POCO C3’s CPU is built with an octa-core processor featuring cortex-A53 architecture with the utmost clock speed of 2.3GHz. The C3 carries MediaTek’s 12nm chipset Helio G35, combined with PowerVR GE8320 GPU. We have seen this processor configuration before in some other entry-level phones, such as realme C11.
POCO C3 comes in two variants. The lower variant bears 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage. And, the upper variant has 4GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage. Thanks to Xiaomi for offering the latest MIUI 12 user interface in this phone on top of Android 10. Now you can enjoy all the amazing features of MIUI 12 on a budget phone. POCO C3 would perform well in regular multitasking, like browsing social media or watching movies. However, this phone can rarely struggle for opening some heavy-duty apps or software.

POCO C3’s 13MP prime rear camera features an f/2.2 aperture. According to experts, the poor aperture size makes this camera less capable of taking excellent images. However, you can still capture some good images in ample light conditions. The color saturation is close to natural. The auto-focusing performs properly. But in the photos, there won’t be much detailing. In low light, this camera delivers poor performance. However, you can’t expect much from an entry-level Smartphone.

For selfie lovers, POCO C3 offers a 5MP front camera. This sensor is capable of taking average quality photos. But the background is likely to blow out. In the photos, the skin tone of subjects may display some added softness. The photos may lack dynamic range, sharpness, and details.
